This Cookie & Storage Policy explains how PromoHub (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies, browser local storage, session storage, and related technologies on promohub.me and related platform services.
1. What Are Cookies and Web Storage?
- Cookies: Small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Cookies help authenticate your session, protect your account, and support core platform features.
- Local Storage (localStorage): A browser feature that stores data locally on your device across browser sessions until explicitly cleared.
- Session Storage (sessionStorage): Similar to local storage, but data is automatically erased when you close the browser tab.
2. Important Clarifications: How PromoHub Actually Operates
To ensure complete technical transparency, please note:
- Server Bumping & Cooldowns: Discord server bump cooldowns, bump counts, leaderboard rankings, and server statistics are NOT tracked through cookies. These functions are managed entirely on our backend database and Discord API systems.
- No Advertising Trackers: PromoHub does not employ third-party advertising tracking pixels (such as Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or retargeting networks).
- No Google Analytics: PromoHub does not use Google Analytics or client-side marketing tracking cookies.
3. Storage Technologies Used by PromoHub
PromoHub utilizes the following first-party cookies and browser storage mechanisms:
3.1 Authentication & Security Cookies
These cookies are technically used to allow you to log in, maintain your session across pages, and protect platform security:

3.2 Browser Local Storage (localStorage)
PromoHub uses localStorage to save user interface preferences and offline states directly on your device:

3.3 Browser Session Storage (sessionStorage)
PromoHub uses sessionStorage for temporary interface states during active browsing:

3.4 Performance Telemetry
Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights: Our web application includes performance monitoring scripts provided by our hosting platform (Vercel Inc.) to measure web vitals, page load speeds, and real-time frontend reliability. These scripts collect technical performance metrics without tracking you across unrelated websites.
4. Third-Party Embedded Content (Twitch & Kick)
When you visit our /live stream discovery section, live streams and chat channels are delivered directly via third-party embedded <iframe> elements:
- Twitch Embeds (twitch.tv): Loading a Twitch stream connects your browser directly to Twitch Interactive (Amazon) servers. Twitch sets its own third-party cookies and storage for video delivery, authentication, and platform diagnostics.
- Kick Embeds (kick.com): Loading a Kick stream connects your browser directly to Kick Gaming servers, which may place cookies or storage to manage stream buffering and player state.
Twitch and Kick embedded players load automatically upon opening a stream. PromoHub's current cookie notification banner does not control or block third-party cookies placed by Twitch or Kick iframes. Your interactions with embedded players are governed by the cookie and privacy policies of Twitch and Kick respectively.
5. Managing & Disabling Storage Technologies
You have several ways to control or clear cookies and storage technologies:
5.1 In-Platform Cookie Banner
When you first visit PromoHub, a notification banner appears regarding cookie usage. Clicking either button records your preference in localStorage and dismisses the banner.
5.2 Browser Settings
Most modern web browsers allow you to manage cookies and site data through their settings:
- You can configure your browser to block third-party cookies, alert you before cookies are set, or clear all cookies upon exiting.
- You can clear
localStorageandsessionStorageby clearing “Browsing Data” or “Site Storage” in your browser settings.
Important Note: If you block authentication cookies (hub_session and authjs.*), you will be unable to log in, create posts, or manage Discord servers on PromoHub.
